📣 Annual Club Update
Dear Members,
As we close out another productive year, we want to share an overview of the significant progress made across the club. Your involvement, support, and volunteer spirit have been instrumental in helping us maintain and improve our shared spaces. Below is a summary of the key accomplishments and ongoing initiatives.
🏞️ Infrastructure, Safety & Grounds Improvements
Flood Access & Emergency Planning
This year, we made substantial progress on improving emergency access for members living near the Lakeshore cul‑de‑sac. Rising lake levels have historically limited access when Sycamore Street becomes submerged. To address this, the team began clearing cedar trees, debris, and underbrush between the cul‑de‑sac and the Pawnee storage buildings. This work will create a reliable emergency route during high‑water events.
We are coordinating closely with the Corps of Engineers to ensure all work near Corps land is compliant and responsible. Member concerns about over‑clearing cedar trees were heard and respected; only necessary removals are planned to balance safety with environmental preservation.
Gravel was laid down for a golf cart pathway behind the Lakeshore cul‑de‑sac when those residents were flooded in, in June 2025.
Fire Safety Enhancements
In response to increased wildfire concerns, we expanded efforts to clear dense underbrush and create defensible space around the club. Thanks to member volunteers and equipment support, we now have improved access paths that could accommodate emergency vehicles if needed.
🙌 Member Contributions & Volunteer Efforts
A heartfelt thank‑you goes to all committee members for their hard work throughout 2024. Special recognition is extended to Chris Green, Bruce Alexander, Greg Boggs, and Dave Hessie, whose countless volunteer hours and use of personal equipment saved the club significant expenses while accelerating major cleanup and safety projects.

🛠️ Facilities, Equipment & Grounds
A large roll‑off dumpster will be available beginning March 15 near the maintenance shed. It will remain until full. Please note that tires and chemicals are not permitted.
🚤 Marina & Dock Enhancements
In 2024 the fishing walkway was reinforced with new piers and the fishing dock was totally rebuilt under budget.

Finances
The board has approved the consolidation of our funds and the transfer of the majority of those assets into an interest-bearing account. This change is projected to generate an additional $350 per month in income, representing a substantial improvement over the performance of our previous accounts.
Looking Ahead
We are proud of the progress made this year and grateful for the teamwork that made it possible. Your continued involvement and feedback help guide our priorities and ensure the club remains a safe, enjoyable, and well‑maintained community for all.
Thank you for your support, your volunteerism, and your commitment to our shared home.
Warm regards, Club Leadership Team
